1. Read Before You Download

• Each download page explains how the content works.

• Scan the page for any important information or references.

2. Check Pack Requirements

• Some mods need specific game packs.

• Be sure to look for the pack icon on the download page.

• File names will also include the required pack code. See the Pack Code List for details.

 

3. Download the Mod You Want

• Download the specific content (recipe, object, etc.) you want to add to your game.

4. Check for Required & Conflicting Files

• Every download page will tell you what required file(s) you need.

• Most downloads will need a specific Core file to run properly. 

• Any conflicts (such as overrides) will be listed on the downloads page of that mod. Most of my overrides are found in an optional download called the “Core Modules.”

5. Install Your Files

• Move the downloaded .package (and .ts4script if included) into your Sims 4 Mods folder:
  Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods

• Important:

  • .ts4script files can only be 1 folder deep.

  • .package files should be no more than 5 folders deep.
